Highland Virtual

Security and privacy

Your listings, your buyers, your business

Plain-language answers to how your information is handled.

Your account stays yours

Every animal, listing and document belongs to one account, and the database itself enforces that only your account can see or change it.

Sale pages show only what you choose

Public pages show the facts, photos and price you enter. Private notes, owner names and registration numbers never appear on them.

Buyer messages stay between you and the buyer

Messages from buyers go only to you. Our team can't read them, and we never contact your buyers.

How AI is used

When you ask us to draft an ad or check a document, that content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, under its commercial terms, only to do that job. It isn't used to train models or mixed with anyone else's information.

Done-for-you work is logged

When we build your pages for you, we work in your account's listing tools only. Your private documents stay hidden from us, and every visit is recorded.

Encrypted and backed up

Connections use HTTPS. Data is stored with a managed database provider with encryption at rest and regular backups.

Your controls

Take a listing down, delete an animal, or close your account any time. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.

Selling a horse or a few Highlands?

Send us your photos and papers. We'll have a sale page ready to share, with buyer screening built in.
